In our research, we are looking to see how the brain changes in normal people, people who are well, as they get older. We think that understanding normal processes of decline in the brain will be beneficial in understanding how the brain deteriorates during illness, and that could be important for Alzheimers’ disease. But research takes time and any findings will take a long time to be beneficial – it’s a marathon not a sprint!!
