I had never heard of it before – I am learning new things answering these questions. It seems that it is research on extended human capacities, integral health and healing and psychic abilities. So research on another level to genetics – where we look at a very fine, detailed level, and this science looks at a totally other level of conciousness. I am sure that it’s important. What to you think?

      Hey Veatrix,

I’d never heard of this so I wiki’d it!! It seems a bit kooky…..science is all about observation and testable theories…..this doesn’t seem to fit. In saying that I don’t think it’s wrong to study these things, while they might seem implausible there might be something in it!! I think it’s quite funny that an astronaut started it all up…..maybe some cosmis rays got to his head during the Apollo 14 mission!

No, like homeopathy, I don’t think it’s real. It basically says that your mind or soul are an energy form that can physically influence objects around it. There is no evidence whatsoever that this is true.

It was formed by the apollo (moon) astronaut Edgar Mitchell (for more info on him read the book ‘the men who fell to earth’). Its all about human consicouness and meditation.

If we take science to mean logical, well planned, reproducible experiments that further our understanding then no, I don’t think its a ‘real science’. But, I think the people that are behind it have good intentions
