I really like books from the author James Watson who discovered DNA – I recently read “DNA: The Secret of Life”. And I would defintely recommend this book “Bad Science by Ben Goldacre” – I saw him talk once and he was brilliant. Oh and an easy book by my boss “Intelligence: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions) by Ian J. Deary “

      Hi Veatrix,

umm I don’t really read science related books…..although Margaret Atwood writes excellent science fiction. I’m also reading a book called Middlesex which is about hermaphroditism.

Hi veatrix, I’d recommend “DNA: The Secret of Life” by James Watson, “The Blind Watchmaker” by Richard Dawkins, “Surely, You’re Joking, Mr Feynman!”, by Richard Feynman and “Cosmos” by Carl Sagan.

My favourite science book is called Gene, by Matt Ridley. Its got 23 chapters, each one talking about a gene found on each of your 23 chromosomes. It covers everything from how your blood groups get determined, to inheditary diseases such as Huntingtons and how your genes make your male and female! Its very easy to read, and really gets you thinking
