• Question: Are you single? Is it a natural advantage in the natural world to be single or to be mated?

      I’m not single. It depends how you see it. In most animals for males being single is an advantage as they can pass on their genes (i.e. sperm) to as many females as possible. In humans, there appears to be an advantage of being in a relationship.

      Ultimately, for any species to continue there has to be the next generation!

      Hi Timrichards,

      REALLY interesting questions from you!! I’m married with kids!! I know having a partner to help out with the twins is a real advantage, I couldn’t have done it without a supportive husband! Being ‘mated’ is kind of a human complusion, it’s the formation of a partnership, life is easier when you can share tasks between two people.
