• Question: do think that cloning it good/ bad?

      Generally, I think cloning is good. It’s used in research every day and cloning crops more resistent to certain weather can help feed poorer countries. However, cloning of humans and most animals doesn’t really seem to have a point and it needs to be kept in check with stringent laws.

      I’d like to be able to clone myself! Though I think that would be really weird.

      Hey tessa,

      it depends what type of cloning you are talking about! Reproductive cloning….that’s making clones of individuals…..is probably not a good idea. Reproduction works so well because it produces variation in a population! Reproductive cloning is illegal for humans…..but people are trying it for livestock….which ialso think is a bit of a silly idea!

      it’s a fab genetic tool that we use in the lab all the time to find things out! but cloning people would be bad I reckon! and I am not sure if we will ever know enough for it to work safely.

      Bad. People should never clone themselves (or their pets; which is what happens in america. very weird!).
