• Question: Do you ever need human guinea pigs?

      No, as our research isn’t directly medical, we don’t. Some people in my lab work on human cells, however you can grow these in petri dishes so you don’t have to constantly bother people for cells. What we do in our lab is known as basic research. We hope to discover fundamental processes in cells. People in medical research then take our results and apply them to mice or human guinea pigs 🙂
