No, they don’t always first time and in worms sometimes you have to find different ways to do an experiment as they can often be hard to work with. But this makes the research on them more challenging and fun!

      hey twigglet,

short answer there is no…..long answer…..NNNNOOOOOOO!!! In fact today I had an experiment fail completely….two days work for nothing!!! It’s not all bad though, lots of things can be learnt from failed experiments!!

Not always – or at least they don’t always tell you the answer that you want!

Nope. Today they did, yesterday they didn’t. But you can normally get an idea from a ‘failed’ experiment about why it didn’t work, so fix it for next time (unless you drop it on the floor, which thankfully has never happened to me. then you learn nothing!)

Hi twigglet. No, not always. As a computer scientist, it is sometimes because I’ve made a programming error when I’ve written some code, or that it more complicated than I thought, or that I need more data to test with.
