      HI Hayley,

      Yes I use a small number of animals in my research. These are animals that also have high cholesterol. I use my gene therapy treatments to try and cure the animals high cholesterol. Most of my work however is in what we call tissue culture. That’s cells grown in plastic flasks. These are really useful to understand whether my gene therapy treatments are likely to work before I put them into animals.
