Computers use lots of energy and I print out lots of paper which is bad for trees! Otherwise, no.

Yes, I think every lab does. However, most places try to dispose of these things as best as possible and there are a lot of rules to follow to make sure we keep pollution at a minimum.

      Hey guys,

it is the cause of a great deal of guilt for me that there are LOADS of things I use that could hurt the environment! We try our hardest though to be good and there are lots of rules about what we can put where. To counteract this I try to be extra specially good at home, I cycle into work, we recycle everything, we even grow our own veges!

Not really. Any waste from a lab gets incinerated (burned) and doesn’t go to landfill so anything potentially toxic doesn’t end up leaking into the environment!
