      Hey daveissem,

over christmas I discovered that reducing the amount of a specific protein in the liver using RNAi makes my gene therapy work 1000 times better……that’s actually the number, I’m not exaggerating! It’s such an exciting result I’ve been invited to speak at two conferences about it!

I guess it depends what you define as important. For me and other people working in my field, I have discovered one important thing. I discovered that a process known as splicing can prevent the copying of RNA (a molecule similar to DNA and required to the make protein corresponding to the DNA of a gene) from DNA from stopping.
