Hey bobbit, to me there are two things that stand out to me. The first thing I think is really cool is just a general thought. I love the idea of thinking that all the bits that make up the atoms and molecules you’re made out of are billions of years old. So in a way you yourself are that old!
The second thing I got most excited about was when I made my first discovery in the lab. It was a cool feeling to know you’re the first person to have seen something! At the end of each of your chromosomes, you have structures called telomeres. These protect your DNA. I discovered that, in worms at least, when DNA is copied into RNA, the protein responsible for this continues copying into the telomeres. This has never really been shown in any other organism (to my knowledge!).
