• Question: How hard is getting a PhD and how useful is it in being a scientist?

      If you’ve got a 2:1 in a related science degree then its not too hard getting a PhD, lots of people also do a masters first.

      I think its very useful being a scientist. Its not like every single day you do an experiment that is going to change the world, but you are part of an international group of people researching similar things, and the combined knowledge gained is very very very useful
