  I’ve been working on this project for about 4 years and last year I had a pretty major breakthrough….I actually showed it worked in mice!!! That’s a pretty big deal in my world!! I also just did some cool stuff using RNA interference….this stops specific mRNAs getting translated into proteins, so you can reduce the amount of a specific protein in a cell……I used this to reduce the amount of a protein that stops the low density lipoprotein receptor being expressed…..when I did this my gene therapy worked even better!
