      Depends what type of scientist you wanted to be. Think you’ll need a good grade in Maths and English to get into University. After that it’s subject specific (have a look at what entry requirements there are for differnet university courses as a guide) and also down to what you are interested in.
      Food tech, may be useful if you want to be a food scientist, PE if you what to be a sports scientist. …

      Sorry I don’t know as I did my degree in Ireland. What do you need to get in to University to study Natural Sciences? and do you know which are the better Universities for science?

      A*-C’s in english, maths and science. And choose to do some science A-levels!

      Hey smundy,

      GCSE is pretty early on!! I can tell you what I did…..which was in NZ, so not particularly relevant! I did science (which was general science, the subjects aren’t split in NZ until the year after), english, history, german, maths and art. Six subjects is the maximum you do in NZ and universities NEVER look at these grades for entrance…….but if you want to be a scientist I keep up the sciences and maths, but english is also very important and subjects that teach you how to write…..it’s a HUGE part of science!
