• Question: If you could clone anyone, who would it be, and why?

      Hi Eilie,

      myself…..multiple times…..one could look after the kids, one could do house work and three could work on all the projects I want to do in the lab!!! Actually though, human cloning is probably not a good idea. Firstly, reproduction works really well! We get variation which makes the species stronger. Second, we don’t really know what happens to clones as they age, there is a theory that they will age faster, or be more susceptible to disease. Thirdly, having had kids it’s awesome to see what mixing up genes gives you! My twins are completely new, independent entities. I can see some of me and my husband in them but they are so individual it’s great!! So to conclude…..if it’s not broke don’t fix it!!

      Hi Ellie, I think I’d clone Charles Darwin because he made one of the most revolutionary discoveries ever! I’d like to find out if he would’ve been fun to hang out with too. What about you?

      Ronaldo – with some Irish genes so could play football for Ireland and we could get to the World Cup!!
