• Question: is being a scientist tiring?

      Yes, sometimes when I need to work long hours and I am stuck in the office so I don’t get any fresh air – although it’s like any other job really.

      It can be… especially when experiments don’t work. But the feeling of getting a good result usually makes up for that.

      It can be tiring…..looking down a microscope for hours on end can be pretty awful!

      No more than any other job. Once you’ve done a particular experiment a a few times it doesn’t take much brain power so its not like you need to concentrate that hard all the time. I listen to a lot of music on my ipod while working! Sometimes being on your feet a lot can be tiring I guess.
