      Hi rythiepie13,
My lecture was an anatomy one. The lecturer was telling us about how 50 years ago the medical profession thought that bone was just a dead scaffold, until some awesome scientist came along and discovered cells, blood supply and active remodelling (which is how bones heal after breaks) and it changed everyones mind. That’s when I thought ‘I want to be doing that!’. I wanted to be the one discovering new treatments not just handing out exisiting ones. I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be to not be able to treat someone because nobody had come up with a cure yet. ALSO the lectures were in the hospital and walking there through all the sick people and that horrible hospital smell gave me the heebies!!!
