Question: So, what are you aiming to acheive if you find the genes your looking for?

Nice quest! When we find the genes we are looking for, we hope they will tell us more about the biology of the brain and how it works to make it think. We may find a gene that is involved in making a protein that is important in the development of the brain, and then when we know the mechanism behind this brain development, then we would try to help when it goes wrong.
