• Question: Using the human genome project, is it possible to create a computer brain by replacing each DNA strand with a computer code, to create a computer that can think, learn, and evolve like a human?

There’s been some synthetic biology done, whereby people have divised basic ‘DNA computers’, whereby they have created a set of logic gates to perform a calculation using DNA see for an overview

However, no I don’t yet see any likelihood of a cyborg creation where we implant a computer to replace a human’s brain.

Great question! Some people are trying to do this already, not with computers though, but with chemicals and they are trying to model the DNA in a test tube, with the hope of creating life that will evolve. It’s research directed by a guy called Craig Venter – he has had his genome sequenced already.
He is talking about it here

I don’t know much about computing and programing unfortunately. But I don’t really think it would be possible. The way molecules interact with eachother and also how the human brain works is only poorly understood and thus only giving a computer the DNA sequence to build each protein might not be enough.

In theory yes, but we don’t have anything near that technology yet!
