• Question: What makes being a Geneticist stand out from all other science professions or specialities?

      I think genetics is the basis of all life and all biochemistry. Without knowing what goes on during expression of genes, we don’t really know how you get a protein from a gene. Without proteins, you wouldn’t have a living cell… and so on. So it all starts with the genes! 🙂 I think that’s what makes it so interesting to me 🙂

      I think is all depends what you’re interested in. You’ll only find genetics interesting if you genes and how they shape organisms interesting! I would say there are more obvious medical applications to genetics compared to many other areas of science

      Genetics is the basis of life!!! It’s really exciting researching how genes work and the subtle ways they interact to form the thousands of processes that our bodies carry out each day!!
