No event as such. Just doing what I am interested in all along. One thing is that when I met my boss, I really liked his work and interest, and I his enthusiasm spread to me – just like if you have a really great teacher, then you might really like the class.

I’d done lots of maths and computing, and a job came up that let me use and apply these skills on a number of tasks in biology, and here I am now!

Hi! There was no event per say, I just felt the most fascinated with the origin of life. So I decided to start research in gene expression, the basis of all life.

My own particular area (DNA damage and cancer) I only decided about during my masters.

      Hey cherryred,

I decided to research gene therapy after my PhD…..I had a really hard time during my doctoral studies, I had to finish in two years AND my boss was awful….so I got to the end of it and really wanted out! I saw this job and really liked the idea!
