      Sorry for not explaining. A trait is something that can be measured and is a feature of someone. What I really mean is a quantitative trait that has measurable values, going from highest to lowest on a scale (so not like a disease which you either have or you don’t). For example, I look at performance on inteliigence tests, how many things you can remember, how many words you know. We are also interested in other things such as height, weight, BMI, blood pressure and so on.
